Hey everyone! I'm really trying to take better care of my plants, but I messed up and repotted my succulents at the wrong time of year. They were thriving for about a year, and now they seem to be struggling. I want to repot them again before summer hits. Last time I went with a soil I found on Amazon, but I'm wondering if there's a better option out there? I have a couple of small cacti, a euphorbia, and a jade plant, so any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks!

I totally get what you're going through! A lot of cactus potting mixes can end up being too dense and hold onto water more than succulents like. I've had similar experiences with big brands like Espoma. What you might want to try is mixing whatever soil you choose with a gritty material, like pumice or perlite, at a 1:1 ratio. This will really help improve drainage. If you're near a local nursery, they might have better options that don’t need amending much. Good luck!
Yeah, it’s super common to run into issues with cactus mixes! I’ve found that even popular brands can retain more moisture than we want. Mixing your soil with something like crushed gravel or horticultural sand really makes a difference. If you're ordering online and can’t get to a local shop, just make sure to get some extra grit to mix in. Your plants will thank you!

Thanks for the tip! Definitely going to try mixing it up with some grit.
