Can I Grow Cherry Blossoms or Pines From Cuttings or Seeds?

Hey everyone! I'm really excited about gardening and I'm planning to plant a cherry blossom tree. However, I'm wondering if I can propagate a cherry blossom tree using clippings from an existing one instead of buying seeds or a new tree. I'm also curious about pine trees—can I use a pine cone to grow one? Just trying to figure out the best way to start my garden without breaking the bank!

If you're in the U.S., you can definitely find cherry blossom trees at places like Lowe's or Home Depot, although they can be a bit pricey. Plus, I've heard some people mention their trees didn't last long after purchase. If you really want one, it might be better to just go ahead and buy a healthy one from a nursery.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. It’s a bummer to pay a lot only to have it not thrive. I think buying is the way to go!
