I'm getting more serious about making picture frames after taking a class where I made my first "high-end" frame. So far, I've been using acrylic for framing because I can cut it with my table saw, but I've found that it scratches easily and attracts lint due to static. Now, I'm looking to switch to glass for my next projects, including display cabinet doors, but I want to be able to cut it myself rather than ordering pre-cut pieces. Can anyone recommend some good glass cutting tools for a semi-professional woodworker that won't break the bank?

If you're switching to glass, I recommend checking out a decent cutter online for about $30. It definitely takes some practice to cut glass properly, so just be careful at first! I personally switched to frame-grade acrylic because it's safer and lighter to work with, but if you want that classic glass look, go for it! Just be attentive to details while cutting and handling.

Totally get that! I had similar issues with static and lint on acrylic too. Setting up a clean workspace helps a lot. But hey, you’ll get used to it! Just be gentle when handling it.
