I'm really upset because my cat decided to munch on all my seedlings last night! She demolished everything from onions and leeks to broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, brussel sprouts, and even watermelon. I was out, and when I came back, it looked like a disaster zone in my garden. I'm in zone 6b, and with the last frost coming up in two weeks, I'm unsure whether I should start from scratch with new seeds or just go for direct sowing at this stage. What do you think?

I feel your pain! Cats can be such little troublemakers. For your situation, I'd suggest direct sowing what you can and checking out your local nursery for the rest. It’s a little late to restart from seeds, especially for something like peppers. Just make sure to protect your new plants from kitty again!
That's so frustrating! If you can, go ahead and replant your watermelon seeds today. For the broccoli and cauliflower, I’d recommend getting those as seedlings from a nursery. It's disappointing to lose them, but you'll have a better shot at getting them in the ground on time if you buy established plants.
Sorry to hear about your seedlings! Some plants are definitely easier to direct sow, so if you can, look up a planting calendar to see what's viable now. I'd personally try to buy starts for the ones you'll have a tough time growing from seed at this point.
