So, my kid used our Dewalt battery chainsaw without any bar oil, and now it's completely locked up—doesn't move and doesn't even make a sound. Is this thing ruined, or is there something I can do to fix it?

First off, take the bar off completely and try running the motor. See if the sprocket spins. If it does, the chain might just be stuck on the bar. If that’s the case, getting a new bar and chain should solve the issue! Good luck!
Definitely try what FixItFrank suggested. Just make sure to check if the chain brake got triggered—though it sounds like it's a oil issue. Fingers crossed it works out!
