Has Anyone Tried Epoxy Flooring in a Mobile Home?

Hey everyone! I have an old mobile home with carpets that are over 50 years old, and I'm looking to give it a fresh look by replacing them with something cleaner. I've been considering using epoxy flooring, but I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with it, especially in a mobile home setting. I'd really appreciate any tips or advice you have!

Using epoxy on a wood subfloor in a mobile home might not be the best idea. I put epoxy in my enclosed trailer, and it works well for that kind of space. However, I'd recommend considering cheaper options like laminate planking or sheet flooring instead. They're easier and more practical for everyday use.

I haven't done it in a mobile home, but I’ve used epoxy in some areas of my house that had wood subfloors. It’s super easy to clean and waterproof, plus it's warmer than tile. The downside is it requires a lot of work, much more than you’d need for something like vinyl or laminate. If you decide to go this route, make sure your subfloor is thick, and use tons of screws instead of nails for support. Doing a thin base coat first can help too — check out Leggari or Stonecoat for good how-to videos.
