I'm having trouble getting jalapeños to sprout from seeds. I've attempted this a couple of times and haven't had any luck, even though I have success with other vegetables. Is there a specific method or trick I should know when starting jalapeños?

Using a humidity dome and a heat mat set between 80-85°F can really boost your chances. Just make sure your soil is moist before you plant the seeds, and try not to let it dry out or get too soggy. That should help!
What’s your setup like? Are you starting them indoors or outdoors? Also, how much water and light are you giving them? It sounds like you're on the right track with keeping them moist but not soaked.
I've tried both indoor and outdoor methods, and I've done experiments with light and no light. Right now I'm trying them on the patio in partial light.

Oh, and don’t forget to plant the seeds about a quarter inch deep for the best results!
