Should I Buy a Chinese Version of the M12 Press Tool?

I've been following the debates about Chinese-made tools in the American market and discovered a press tool that looks just like the M12 press tool kit from Milwaukee. It's a hot topic, but I want to know if buying this lookalike is a good idea. Is Milwaukee really owned by a Chinese company, and should I trust this alternative version?

I can't specifically speak for this tool, but I can share some thoughts on buying direct versus going through a brand like Milwaukee. Generally, well-known brands have a quality assurance system in place to ensure that the tools meet specific standards. When you buy through them, you also get the warranty and customer support which is huge. If something goes wrong, it’s easier to get a replacement or fix. Going direct might mean you're getting products that didn’t meet those quality expectations, and then you could struggle if you need parts down the line.

Exactly! Plus, knowing that the brand stands behind their warranties gives you peace of mind. Who wants to deal with tools that might malfunction?
