I'm considering getting my 2400 square foot Bermuda lawn reseeded, and I've been quoted $1100 for the job. The area has already been pre-aerated, and they plan to top dress with a 70/30 soil and sand mix before sowing the Bermuda grass seed. I just want to know if this price seems reasonable for the labor involved in top dressing and sowing the seed.

I second getting multiple quotes before deciding. But yeah, I wouldn’t pay $1100 for that! Reseeding is mostly a day’s work, especially since the area is already prepped. I'd say you could do it for about $500 to $800 if you still want to hire someone who's reliable. It's definitely worth checking out your options.
Honestly, that seems pretty steep to me. You could easily tackle this project yourself and save a ton of cash—maybe even just $200 or so if you buy the seed and materials. It's pretty much just walking around with the seed spreader! Why not give it a shot? You might surprise yourself with how well it turns out!
