Need Advice on Trimming Replacement Deck Boards

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of replacing some rotted boards on my deck, but the new boards I got from Lowes/Home Depot are a bit wider than the old ones I've taken out. They just won't fit right now, and I need to trim about 1/16 to 3/32 of an inch off the edges of these 12-foot boards so they'll drop in place. What's the best tool to use for this? Thanks!

It sounds like the new boards might still be a little wet. If you can, try letting them dry in a warm spot for a couple of weeks. They’ll shrink a bit as they dry, which might save you from having to trim them. If you cut them now, you could end up with larger gaps when they shrink.

Totally get what you're saying! I just checked and there’s actually a 1/2 inch difference in width. Yeah, waiting for them to dry sounds great, but I need to get this done sooner. Do you have any recommendations for a good rip fence for my circular saw? Thanks!
