I'm looking to get my front french doors sanded and painted and would like some insight on pricing. I have two wooden doors that are currently stained, each with a large glass pane taking up about 30% of the door. I also want the wood casing around the doors painted in a matching dark color. I've been receiving wildly different quotes and really want to make sure I'm paying a fair price for this work. Here's a link to a photo of the doors for reference: [here](https://imgur.com/a/vubXCZv).

Those doors are beautiful! If you're getting a variety of quotes, definitely ask each contractor for examples of their previous work. It’s wise to weigh the price against the quality of their craftsmanship and any guarantees they offer. The lowball quote might end up compromising on quality, so keep that in mind.
Not sure about the price, but I’m curious if there's a paint that dries quickly enough for you to close the door overnight after painting. Anyone know if that's possible with any products?
I'm from a more affordable area, and I would expect to pay between $750 and $900 for this job. While I'd also be okay with someone quoting $1200, I wouldn't dismiss a cheap option right away, especially if it looks good. Just be wary of overselling or rushing things.

Most pros tend to plan to rehang the door each day, so you might want to ask about fast-drying options if that's a priority for you.
