I recently got a Makita 40w Track Saw that everyone is raving about, but I'm having an issue. Whenever I try to cut into 3/4" plywood, it starts to burn almost immediately, even if I'm only going 1/8" deep. I've switched out the blades to ones with 40, 56, and even 60 teeth, including some finish blades, and I've double-checked all the settings and angles. What could I be missing?

You might also want to flip the whole saw upside down to check the blade distance from the front to the back. It’s tricky with track saws, but it’s worth a look. Let’s get this worked out!
Hey! It sounds like your blade might be installed backwards. This is a common mistake, so definitely check that first. The teeth should be pointing up towards the front when you look down at it. If that’s good, let’s dive deeper!
I had the same issue once. Make sure your blade isn't just backwards, but also give the blade a clean while you’re at it. A dirty blade can cause burning too. And if it isn’t that, check the alignment just in case, although track saws are usually pretty sturdy.
