So, I was just playing with my dog and accidentally threw a toy into my girlfriend's beloved Black Velvet Alocasia, and it pretty much broke in half. I feel awful about it! Right now, I've put the broken part in water, hoping it will root, but honestly, I'm not sure what else to do. I'd really appreciate any advice on how to keep this plant alive or possibly fix it!

Hey! Sorry to hear about the plant! Can you post a close-up of the ends of the stems you put in water? For the best chance of rooting, you generally need to cut at a node—if it’s just a straight break, it might not root. Good luck!
