Hey everyone! I'm in the UK and need some help getting these large solar panels (Aiko Stellar 1N+ 645W, measuring 2383x1134mm and weighing 35kg each) onto my garage roof. The roof is about 3.2m high, and unfortunately, I can't reach the edge easily. Also, access to the garden is tricky for using a forklift. I'm considering using glass suction cups or maybe even a drywall lifter to help get them up there. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Stop relying on a ladder for everything! If you’re strong enough, you can carry them up, but I’d recommend building a solid platform or small scaffolding. This way, you can step onto the roof more safely. I had to carry similar panels up to a second floor once, and having a better setup definitely helped!
Have you thought about renting an AC lift dolly? They can be a lifesaver for moving heavy loads, as long as they fit through your yard!
Big panels like that can be tricky, especially with snow in the mix. If you're expecting heavy snowfall, you might want to add a third rail for extra support. Renting scaffolding could also be a great way to get the panels up safely. Just make sure to have a buddy help you manage everything! Good luck!
