Hey everyone! I just installed an attic fan that has an automatic temperature controller to help manage the heat. I also have a house fan, and I'm looking to wire the attic fan so that it can be controlled by the house fan switch. I want both the temperature controller and the house fan switch to be able to turn the attic fan on and off independently. Is this even possible, and if so, what would the wiring look like? It really depends on how your temperature controller functions. If it's a standalone device that operates on line voltage, you should be good to go. Just wire a relay into your attic fan circuit that would allow you to bypass the temperature control when the house fan is turned on. It's a bit tricky to explain in writing, so I suggest doing a bit more research on relays to get a better idea!
