I'm installing a Redi Exit egress window, but I'm confused because it doesn't have the usual screw holes like other windows I've dealt with. Should I just drill a hole through the outer vinyl extrusion on the side jamb so I can screw through the inner vinyl into my wood frame? I checked the instructions, and I found them a bit confusing too. It mentions using "¼” x 2 ¾” aluminum or stainless steel screws," but that doesn’t seem to match up with standard wood frames.
