I'm trying to set up a basic raccoon deterrent sprayer using a 12V battery, a reservoir with a pump, and spray heads. I purchased a 12V PIR relay, but it has a minimum timing of 1 minute, which is way too long for what I need. I couldn't find any PIR relays on Amazon that offer less than a minute or that don't have a timing function at all. Ideally, I want one that activates immediately and then turns off until triggered again. Does anyone have suggestions for a 12V PIR relay without a timer or one that can operate with a very short delay?

You might want to check out using a pulse relay or a one-shot relay, as those can be configured to trigger without a long delay. They could work well for your sprayer setup!
Since you didn’t provide the specific model of the PIR relay, it's hard to give tailored advice. Many relays operate with a monostable configuration, where you can tweak the timing by changing a capacitor value. If you swap the timing cap out, you might be able to achieve a shorter delay—like 6 seconds instead of 60. I've been through similar projects and can say this sounds like a fun DIY! And honestly, f__k raccoons; they really deserve a good vinegar blast!
