Is It Normal to Have Strangers Taking Photos of Your Property?

Now that Spring has arrived and my landscape is bursting with blooms, I've been getting quite a few visitors stopping by to take pictures of my property. While I appreciate the compliments, it also feels a bit invasive. Has anyone else experienced this? What are your thoughts on people casually photographing your yard?

Yeah, I've had my share of people stopping to take pictures too. One time, a cop even parked in front of my house just to snap a pic of my giant elephant ear plant! Honestly, I find these photo-takers less annoying than neighbors who want me to give them gardening tips, especially when they don't put in the effort. It’s nice to just enjoy my garden in peace!

True! The picture-takers are much easier to deal with. I used to share gardening advice too, but it felt pointless when they wouldn't listen. Those elephant ears are gorgeous! Have you tried growing the Humpback Whale Hosta? They pair nicely with them.

I was pretty shocked the first time it happened to me too! One day I looked out to see a van parked on my property with a family taking photos among the fallen leaves. It felt really invasive, especially since they didn't even ask. They clearly thought it was just a pretty spot. What's up with folks thinking private property is a free photo op?

That's wild! I read about a town in Vermont that had to put up gates because too many Instagrammers were flooding in to take photos with the scenic barns. Your story makes me feel better about my occasional looky-loos!
