I've just started my first gardening season and went all in. Most of my plants have thrived, but unfortunately, some didn't make it. For example, I've had a terrible experience growing Ranunculus—out of 50 corms, only one survived, and now it's swarming with aphids! I'd love to hear which plants you've sworn off growing and would also appreciate any tips on how to deal with these pesky aphids!

Definitely Hostas for me. I adore them, but the slugs just love them even more! It's a constant battle. Plus, they're not the only ones; I can't keep Lupins around either because they're also a slug magnet. It's a shame 'cause they're gorgeous!
I’ve had a nightmare with Box plants. Keeping them healthy was exhausting and pricey, especially with all the caterpillar issues. It's just not worth it when you have to spend so much energy preventing pests instead of enjoying them!
I completely get that! I used to feel bad for those who bought them without realizing all the upkeep involved.
