Why Do Some People Love the Smell of Tomato Plants While Others Can’t Stand It?

I have a strong dislike for the smell of tomato plants, and it's actually the only plant that makes me recoil, especially when I get their oils on my hands during harvest. I've noticed many people seem to enjoy the smell, which got me curious. What are your thoughts on this?

I actually can't imagine summer without the fresh aroma of basil and tomato on my hands! It's part of the gardening experience for me.

When I was pregnant, the smell of tomato plants made me feel sick, and it even killed my garden! So, I totally get where you're coming from.

I love the smell of tomato plants! I even had a soap with a tomato fragrance that I really enjoyed. It can be unique though; not every variety smells the same.

That's interesting! I've noticed that different varieties can have very different smells. My plants are really hairy, and it's tough to wash off the odor afterward.
