I'm planning to pick up about 30 bags of river rock from Home Depot tomorrow, and I'm not sure if I can handle that in one trip. I'm 49 years old and have a heavy-duty pickup truck, so I'm good on the vehicle front. My main concern is whether I can load 30 bags on a trolley and move it without splitting the load into multiple trips. Any advice on how to manage this?

Just let the Home Depot staff know you need 30 bags; they'll help you load them into your truck. I regularly get around 70 bags of mulch this way and it’s always easy for me!
Keep in mind, 30 bags weigh around 1200 pounds, so make sure your truck can handle it. If your truck isn’t heavy-duty like you think, maybe order 25 bags instead just to be safe. The staff can often help with loading; they'll use a forklift for easier transport.
First of all, you’re right! Why I called our midsize truck heavy duty, I don’t know—mainly because it’s my wife’s vehicle. I could only fit 1250-1640 pounds, so maybe I should definitely scale back to 25 and see how it works out. I really want to cover about 60 square feet of dirt.
If you're flexible with what bags you want, ordering online for pickup can save you some hassle. I recently did that for 12 bags of mulch, and they brought it out and loaded it into my car for me. Super convenient!
