Hey everyone, I'm working on a mini cooler using a TEC1-12706 peltier module, some fans, and a W1209 controller. The fans run perfectly when the peltier isn't connected, but the W1209 keeps turning on and off when I plug it in. The peltier works fine when connected directly to a 12V DC power source, heating and cooling as it should. I've also tried switching the polarity and moving the jumper from K1 to K0, but it hasn't helped. Any suggestions on what might be going wrong?

It sounds like your power supply might not be able to handle the load when the peltier is connected. Make sure it's rated high enough to keep the voltage steady under all conditions. If the W1209 is cycling, it could mean it's not getting enough power.

I’m using a 12V 2000mA power supply. I tried running the fans through the W1209 while plugging the peltier directly into the same power supply, and the fans blew fine. The hot side of the peltier hit over 35°C before I stopped checking, and the cool side felt pretty cool but I didn’t measure it.
