I'm planning to demolish a garage, which involves dealing with a lot of plaster and drywall, and I'm wondering if it's smart to invest in a dedicated garbage can just for this project. I initially thought about a sturdy trash can like a brute, but given that I probably won't need it once the demolition is over, I'm leaning towards just using my regular kitchen garbage instead. If you can swing the cost, a dedicated trash setup is definitely worth it! You can always sell it on Facebook Marketplace afterward to get some of your money back. Just keep in mind that demo debris can take up more space than you think, so it might be wise to go bigger.
Have you looked into dumpster bags? I got one from Home Depot recently; you pay a flat fee for the bag and then a pickup fee when you're done, which is super convenient. They can hold a lot, and I didn't have any time pressure on how long I could keep it. Trust me, it'll make your life a lot easier!
