Help! I Botched My Bathroom Tile Installation, What Now?

I messed up my bathroom tile job pretty badly. I used Custom Simple Set on the wood under the floor, followed by RedGard, and then applied Custom Acrylic Pro before putting down the tile, all based on recommendations from a guy at Home Depot. Now, after a week, my tile isn't drying and when I called Custom, they told me I need to take it all out. The tile and Acrylic Pro came up easily after 7 days, but I'm struggling to remove the Simple Set and RedGard, which have been down for 14 days. Any tips on how to get those out?

You might want to consider renting a power chisel to make the job easier, or if it’s too much hassle, just rip up the subfloor and start fresh. And hey, lesson learned, big box stores aren't always the best for DIY advice!

Have you thought about just putting a thinset on top of the RedGard and skipping the Custom Acrylic? Since it’s just using it for flooring, that might save you some trouble!

Apparently, the Simple Set is a mastic, and they insisted it all needs to come out. Plus, it’s still moist under the RedGard after 14 days, which has me worried about mold.
