Should I Choose a Quick Lock Pole Saw or Stick with a Regular One?

I'm considering getting a pole saw and I've noticed that the quick lock model comes with a 3-foot extension. I'm curious if this extension provides the same reach as a regular pole saw that doesn't have a quick lock feature. What do you all think?

I have the quick lock model and it's fantastic! Being able to take it apart makes storage super easy, and I’ve even got some extra attachments now. I installed a hanging rack in my garage, and it barely takes up any space at all!

Honestly, the reach is pretty similar between the two. I opted for a dedicated pole saw originally but ended up wishing I had just gone with the quick lock version. It's bulky to store and I can only really use it for pole saw tasks. Definitely regretting that purchase! Plus, the quick lock system allows for more versatility with different attachments—way more options!

I was considering that too! But with those attachments, I think I'd only want the weed trimmer. If the regular pole saw had an extra couple of feet, I'd probably lean towards that instead.

Haha, are you actually looking to sell yours? I heard those things are crazy pricey!
