I have this unusual section in my backyard with about 15 trees where the grass really struggles to grow. I'm honestly tired of babysitting the little bit of grass that does manage to sprout, like an old guy clinging to a combover. My wife and I want to tidy up the visible sloped area by planting some shrubs and doing regular landscaping. As for the rest of the space, we're thinking about covering it with wood chips after we rototill it. Is this a good idea?
