I recently had Lowe's install a privacy fence, and I've noticed that the upright 4x4 beams have some mold on them. The installer mentioned that it's normal since the wood is treated and it shouldn't be a problem. Is that true? Should I be worried about this mold?

It's not uncommon for pressure-treated wood to have a moldy appearance, especially if it's recently installed. The green tint can be a sign of treatment, but if yours is black and gray, that's likely mold. A quick search online for images of treated wood might help you confirm what you're seeing.
I checked out your photos, and if you don't like the look of the mold, using a cleaner specifically designed for outdoor wood (like 30-second cleaner) could help clear it up. But honestly, don't sweat it too much. That type of mold usually doesn't affect the structural integrity of the fence.
