I'm in the middle of a big backyard renovation where we took out an old raised deck, and we found this tube that was about 3 feet long before the builders cut it down. It's located in the same spot as a bump I have in my basement. Does anyone know what this might be, and do I need to do anything to keep it intact? Could be a condensate drain for your central air conditioning. You'd normally expect it to be connected somewhere to handle the drainage from the unit.
It looks like a drain line, probably used for something like your HVAC system. It should ideally connect to a unit that manages temperature, like air conditioning or heating.
