Hey everyone! I've seen a lot of amazing 3D drawings around here, and I'm curious about what software I can use for 3D modeling. Can anyone recommend some good free options? Thanks!

If you're looking at solid options, check out SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and OnShape—they're all great for parametric modeling. However, SketchUp is definitely different and lacks some of the features you get with the others. My personal pick is Fusion 360; the pricing is reasonable considering the functionality you get, and they offer free versions too.
I had the same question last year and ended up going with OnShape. I watched a bunch of tutorial videos and asked quite a few questions on the forums. After a solid 4 days of practice, I got comfortable enough to create some decent designs. There's another popular 3D software that I'm struggling to recall right now, but I'm sure it has great resources too!
You might be thinking of SketchUp. It's pretty well-known in the 3D modeling scene!
