Hey everyone! I'm a typical weekend warrior and I already own some Dewalt tools and batteries. I'm thinking about picking up a Dewalt angle grinder primarily to cut cattle panel, though I'm not sure what else I might use it for down the line. I'm a bit worried about buying more grinder than I actually need. Do you have any recommendations?

The DCG416 is a popular choice, along with the models 410 and 408. I recently snagged the 60V DCG418 with a 9AH FlexVolt battery for a good deal. If you’re looking for power, that one might be worth considering!
I suggest going for an XR model rather than the cheapest 20V version, especially the ones on sale for around $100. You can find several XR models under $150, and the main difference in price is usually the type of trigger or switch. I just got the DCG413B for $145, and it works great!
What do XR models typically cost? I just started my research, so I'm a bit lost on pricing.
I've owned the DCG405 for over a year now, and it performs incredibly well for cutting cattle panel, which is what I initially bought it for. I've pushed it hard, and it hasn't stalled on me yet. Pair it with some 5AH Powerstack batteries for even better performance. I'm very impressed with it!
What batteries were you using before switching to the Powerstack?
Thanks! I only have 20V batteries right now. I'll keep an eye out for sales. Some of these models do seem like they might be overkill for what I need.
