How Can I Build a Hurricane-Ready Catio That’s Easy to Remove?

I'm looking for a simple way to create a catio that I can easily take down when hurricanes hit. Ideally, I want to remove the wire without damaging it so I can reattach it later. I'd also love to find a method to dismantle the whole structure without having to dig up anything if possible.

One idea is to buy a wire pet kennel that fits your window size. You could build a small shelf outside your window for the kennel to sit on. When your cat is ready to go outside, just open the window and lower the sash onto the kennel to secure it, then open the kennel door. When a hurricane approaches, you can easily bring the kennel back inside and leave just the shelf.

This sounds like a great idea! I'm considering using the window option, but if I get permission, I might build a bigger one in the yard.
