I just bought a house that has laminate flooring everywhere except one bedroom, which has really old carpet. I'm wondering whether I should try to find a matching laminate for that room, even though it might not be a perfect match, or just go for new carpet that looks nicer. What's the best option?

It really comes down to what you prefer! I’d suggest trying to find a matching laminate first. Sometimes you can locate an exact match if there's a spare box lying around. If it doesn't match up well, you might consider recarpeting all the bedrooms or just living with the mismatch. Personally, I love carpet in bedrooms for comfort but wouldn’t stress too much about it for now—go with whatever is cheapest until you’re ready to redo the whole place.

Should I just change all the bedrooms to carpet? Or is it ok to just leave that one as carpet?
