Hey everyone! I recently got a quote for some landscaping work and I'm hoping to get some feedback. I'm in Maryland and here's what the landscaper proposed:
For my main yard, which is about 791 sq ft, the quote is $700. This includes 1.5 cubic yards of dirt, grading on the front and left sides of my house, debris and weed removal, adding mulch, and filling in a hole where a stump was ground down with topsoil. They'll also rake the yard and overseed it.
There's a small area for $240, which covers trimming 3 shrubs, removing the trimmings, and weeding, edging, and mulching around those shrubs.
I know the costs may vary based on how long the job takes, but I'm really curious if this sounds reasonable to you all. Thanks for any insights!

Honestly, it’s tough to say what’s fair since pricing varies so much by location. Asking for opinions on a global forum might not give you the best picture. I recommend getting multiple bids and seeing what others charge in your area. That way, you can make a more informed decision.
From my experience in North Carolina, that seems like a solid deal! Considering the variety of work involved and the cost of materials, it sounds reasonable. Just double-check that the company has the right insurance and that they'll mark the utilities before doing any stump grinding, even though it looks like they're just cleaning up the wood chips. Better safe than sorry!
