How Can I Keep Carpenter Bees Away While Sanding?

I'm sanding my workbench and there are carpenter bees buzzing around, looking to drill into the wood. Does anyone have tips on how to keep them away while I work?

You might want to try using an electric bubble blower in the area; it can help confuse them and keep them away. A strong fan can also blow them off course, so give it a shot!

Good idea! I’ve found that creating a breeze can really help. Plus, it’ll keep you cool while you work!

A tennis racket can actually work wonders for keeping those pesky bees at bay! Just make sure you're swinging it carefully. I’ve had a similar experience—those bees like to get too close for comfort!

That's my go-to too! Just try not to hit any bees; they're more annoying than harmful. Also, there’s something kind of funny about it when you look back!

Haha, how many times have you swung and missed? I just let them buzz around me; thankfully, males don’t sting!
