I love the idea of rolling up my sleeves and learning how to handle basic repairs and improvements myself. I've been checking out DeWalt nail guns because I already own some of their tools and really enjoy their battery system, but there are so many options to choose from—brad nailers, finish nailers, framing nailers, etc. It's a bit overwhelming trying to figure out which is the best fit for my needs.

Honestly, you might want to skip the framing nailer. For simpler projects like yours, I recommend sticking with an impact driver and using screws instead. They can handle those small framing jobs just fine and screw installation is usually easier for DIYers.
