I'm diving into gardening this year and really want to give my yard some love and attention. Since I'm a total novice, I'd appreciate any tips, tricks, or insights you experienced gardeners wish you had known when you were starting out. Also, any summer-specific gardening advice would be awesome! Feel free to keep it simple—I need all the help I can get!

One of the best pieces of advice I've received is to ensure you plant the right types of plants for their location. Make sure shade-loving plants go in the shade and sun-loving ones get plenty of sunlight. It makes a huge difference!
When I started my garden, I thought I’d let nature take its course and ignore it for a bit. Big mistake! I ended up with a garden filled with weeds and even a bindweed plague spreading everywhere. It's a real hassle to manage now! So definitely don't just leave it alone if you want it to thrive!
If you're new to gardening, definitely check out Alan Titchmarsh's new YouTube channel. He's got some great beginner-friendly videos, and his voice is super calming! They'll really help you get started without feeling overwhelmed.

Totally get you! I went through the same thing my first year. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed once the weeds take over!
