I'm trying to figure out the best lab to test for asbestos in my house built in 1945, which I suspect has lathe and plaster walls. I attempted the pushpin test, but I'm unsure about the sampling process since drywall and plaster might have multiple layers. Would it be wise to cut into the wall in a closet with a hole saw to collect a sample? I plan to spray it with water, wear PPE, and isolate the area to minimize dust. Any recommendations?
