Hey everyone! I'm new to woodworking and I'm looking to upgrade my tools. I spotted a UJK router table insert on Facebook Marketplace, but honestly, I'm not the best at buying from private sellers online. I'm curious about the best practices for purchasing shipped items. The seller mentioned they'd get a shipping quote from UPS or USPS and said that if I use PayPal, my payment won't go through until I get a tracking number. Is that the 'Goods and Services' option? Does that give me some protection as a buyer? Any advice would be super helpful!

I get where you're coming from; buying shipped items can feel sketchy! Personally, I've never bought anything that needed shipping from Marketplace. I stick to local pickups only because it feels safer. If you can inspect the item first, that's the way to go!
Same here! Long drives for items never feels worth it if you can’t see them first. A 5-hour round trip just for a tool seems rough!

Totally agree! I've used Marketplace too, but I always meet the sellers in person to avoid any shipping headaches.
