I'm currently preparing to pour self-leveling compound in my 1200 sq ft condo with concrete floors, and I've received a quote of 120 CAD per bag. The estimator calculated that I'll need around 25-30 bags. Does this pricing sound reasonable? By the way, I'm located in Edmonton.

That quote seems a bit steep. In the US, levellers can go for about $30 a bag, though I know labor rates can vary. For your size, you’ll need a solid team—3 or 4 people would probably handle 1200 sq ft in under 2 hours. But yes, with all those multiple pours and a skilled person to skim the mud, labor can add up quickly!
It's always smart to get multiple quotes before making a decision. Also, ask how many passes they plan to make. This can affect both the cost and the quality of the floor finish.
I asked about that, and he said they would definitely do more than one pour. He mentioned it could take about 5 days, with each session lasting around 3 hours, allowing time for curing in between.
Thanks for your input! He did mention needing multiple pours with curing time. I visually estimated there’s about a half inch variance in the floor, so I guess that's a factor too.
