I bought a DeWalt vacuum from Lowe's less than a year ago, and it just stopped working. I got a 3-year warranty from Lowe's, but they told me it's still under the manufacturer's warranty for the first year, so they won't handle it yet. I reached out to the authorized repair center in Seattle, and they said they've never done warranty work before. Is this warranty program for real? Can someone guide me on how to get this warranty honored?

DeWalt's warranty is usually pretty solid! Just keep in mind that some of their non-tool products, like vacuums, are taken care of by other companies. Sounds like you might have hit a snag with some people who don’t know what they’re doing. I'd recommend giving DeWalt a call directly to sort this out.
Honestly, it sounds like the issue lies with Lowe's warranty, not DeWalt's. They typically only honor their warranty after the manufacturer's one runs out. I’d suggest emailing DeWalt's customer service about your vacuum failure without mentioning Lowe's warranty. Just stick to the standard warranty process—I'm sure they’ll help you out!
You should definitely start a warranty claim directly through DeWalt’s service site at toolservicenet.com. That might be your best bet to get this sorted out!

I had a similar experience, and once I contacted them without mentioning the store warranty, they got everything resolved pretty quickly!
