I'm wondering if there's a reliable way to check how much life is left in my M18 or M12 batteries. I suspect there might not be a method to gauge this precisely, but I'm not very knowledgeable about these batteries.

For the M18 batteries, there's a series of flashing lights on the battery that indicates how much charge is left. Sadly, I haven't heard about the M12 batteries having a similar feature. You can read more about it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/MilwaukeeTool/s/mOTsvn9oP2).
That's really helpful! M12 batteries might just have a power gauge in the tool itself or maybe skip that feature since they tend to be less expensive. I’ve been curious if anyone has created a test jig to monitor the output and get a better idea of the battery's overall life.
