I found some strange piles in my yard left by the previous owner and I'm not sure what to make of them. They look like they might be part of some landscaping or a retaining wall, but they're mostly just branches. Does anyone have an idea if these are actual retaining walls or just leftover tree branches? Here's a link to some pictures for reference: [https://imgur.com/a/7pZj07v](https://imgur.com/a/7pZj07v)

Definitely just a pile of sticks, not a retaining wall. The previous owner might have just been too lazy to clean it up. Some people save branches for firewood, so maybe that's what they were doing.
From what I can see, it honestly looks like just a pile of branches that might catch leaves. There’s a small stone retaining wall in the back right of one of the pics, but I wouldn’t say this is a retaining wall itself.
Yeah, it looks like a bunch of sticks to me. Unless there's some hidden bricks or stones under there, I'm pretty sure it's not a retaining wall, just a pile of yard waste.
