A solid way to tackle this is by cutting the copper pipe just below the break. Then, you can solder a sleeve (like a female coupler) onto it, followed by a new piece of pipe. From there, attach a new PEX fitting to reach the existing PEX pipe. If you have enough slack, you might just be able to cut the damaged part of the copper and directly add the PEX fitting instead. It sounds a bit tricky, but it should work!
Got it! So, I’ll cut out the damaged copper and install a PEX fitting, then add a bit of PEX to connect everything. I’ll need to look up how to solder the copper to the PEX fitting, but I’ll figure it out. Thanks a ton!
