I'm facing a challenge with the door threshold between my hallway and bathroom. There are three different heights to consider: the hardwood in the hallway, the original cement base in the bathroom, and the new laminate flooring we just installed. I could really use some advice on how to handle this situation properly.

One option is to chip away some of the cement until it’s lower than the hardwood, so everything can flow smoothly. Then, you can fill it in to create a level surface and either buy or make a custom threshold that fits the new height. That could really help in minimizing the trip hazard!
Another approach is to consider a T transition strip. It can be an easy and clean way to cover the change in heights. Just make sure it bridges the gap right where you want it to meet the flooring. You could also measure the transition area to find the best fit for it!
Where do you imagine the T strip should sit? On top of the laminate, or somewhere else?
After looking at your picture, it seems like you might want something that tapers down almost to nothing. Without exact height measurements, you could start thick on the left side where the hardwood is and taper it down to about 1/8" on the right side. Aim for a width of around 4.5" to cover everything nicely!
