Hey everyone! I'm curious about which vegetables can thrive without needing a lot of soil depth. I'm thinking specifically about plants that can do fine in just a couple inches of soil. Any recommendations? Thanks!

You can definitely grow round radishes and short-rooted or round carrots in shallow soil. Lettuce is also a great choice! Just keep in mind, it kind of depends on how deep you're talking—2 inches, 4 inches, or 6 inches?
Actually, be careful about carrots! Some types are short-rooted and can work in shallow soil, but you might want to research the variety you choose.
There are tons of short-rooted carrot varieties available, though!
I’d say around 10 inches is good for a variety of things!
