Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Rockster Air that seems to be defective, and I'm hoping to get it working again. Here's the deal: when I connect it to power, it makes this super loud static noise. Depending on what power source I'm using, it can be pretty unpredictable. Sometimes it runs fine for an hour, then starts crackling, and eventually it goes into this full-on scream mode. When I plug it into a power supply, it almost immediately screams. After it goes crazy, I have to let it sit without power for like a day before I can get another hour of sound out of it. I'm suspecting it might be a capacitor issue, but I can't see anything obviously wrong when I open it up. Has anyone dealt with something like this? Any suggestions?

It sounds like you might have a cracked solder joint! Sometimes when they get hot, they lose contact and need to cool off to reconnect. Have you taken a look at the board yet? If it's safe to do so, you could try reflowing some of the solder connections to see if that helps.
Thanks for the tip! I managed to remove a bunch of glue and get to the board. Which specific solder joints should I focus on checking first?
