Hey everyone! I'm a newer homeowner and I've noticed that our rear patio door and window are seriously deteriorating and warping due to moisture damage over the years. The door measures 80"x32" and the window is about 72"x62". I just had a Pella rep come out to give us a quote for replacing both, and it came in at almost $10,000! After I mentioned that was way over budget, he knocked it down to $8,800. Does that seem reasonable to you? I know windows and doors aren't cheap, but I was kind of taken aback by the price tag.

I’d definitely recommend getting a few more quotes. That price seems on the higher side for what you’re describing. It’s always good to compare to see if you're getting a fair deal!
For Pella, that price is somewhat standard. Usually, a window can run around $2-3K, and doors are roughly $2K. Just a heads up, my quote for 10 windows from another brand was around $25K, so pricing definitely varies!

I recently had a simple door with a sidelite quoted at about $6,500, while another company offered me the same for half that, so definitely shop around. It's always better to have multiple quotes when making decisions like this!
