What’s the Best and Most Affordable Way to Hang Garden Tools in My Garage?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some affordable and practical solutions for hanging garden and home tools on my garage wall. I've got a grass trimmer, shovel, rake, leaf blower, and snow shovel that I need to organize. I tried using 3-inch nails, but they just plunge into the drywall and don't hold. Would putting up a 2x4 on the drywall be a good idea? I'm not after anything fancy, just something sturdy and budget-friendly. Any tips would be appreciated!

A 2x4 is definitely one of the cheapest options. You can attach it securely to the wall and then hang your tools from there. Just make sure to find the studs to anchor it properly, so you're not just relying on drywall for support.

Have you considered using a pegboard? They're surprisingly strong and let you customize the layout. You can move the hooks around as needed, which could be super helpful for all the different tools you want to hang up.

If you're having trouble with nails, try using screw-in bicycle hooks. They're cheap and work well for hanging various tools. Just drive them into the wall and hang your items on them. You might find it easier than a long plank!
