Concerned About a Crack in My New Bosch Dishwasher – Should I Worry?

Asked By CuriousCat123 On

I just bought a Bosch 800 dishwasher, and when I unboxed it, I noticed there's a "crack" in the black piece on the top. I want to know if this is just a cosmetic issue or if I should be worried about a potential leak. It took two months to arrive, so I'd prefer not to return it if it's not going to cause any problems. Thanks for your help!

I think it’s probably fine, but it might be worth calling customer service. Given that a dishwasher is a big investment, they might offer you some money back rather than making you return it.

Good idea! It's always worth checking for any possible compensation, especially considering the wait time.

No need to stress about that crack! It’s likely just a cosmetic issue and won't affect the dishwasher's performance at all. You're good to go!

It looks more like a minor scratch in the insulation, which shouldn’t impact how it works. However, I’d suggest filing a warranty claim just in case; they can send someone to check it out if necessary.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into that warranty just to be safe.
