I'm struggling with some really aggressive squirrels that ruined my container garden last year. I've tried a few things like coffee grounds and big pebbles, but they still found their way in. This year, I'm setting up raised beds, but I'm concerned they might destroy my plants again. Does anyone have tips on deterring squirrels? Would mulching help, or are there better solutions?

One option you can consider is setting up bird netting. You can get some flexible plastic pipes to create arches over your garden beds, then cover everything with bird netting. Make sure to secure it well so the squirrels can't get through but you can still access your plants. It's a great way to create a physical barrier!
I'm a bit worried they might chew through the netting. Would chicken wire be a more secure choice?
